Perhaps I'm just uneducated in this department, but what does it matter if you normally vote Dem, Pub or otherwise that you would have mark special fields in order to vote across party lines? In my simple-minded opinion a vote ballot should have only as many options as there are candidates...
I thought I had to be a registered Pub or Dem B:50% R:50%

I remember in Nevada when I registered that you have to be a Pub or Dem to vote in the primaries. And when I moved to Wis, I registered indep and skipped the primaries because I thought Wisconsin was the same way.
